  • Julian and Raveen traveled down South to be present at the graduation at Haburaduwa which was covered by the Japanese news television channel NHK and . .
  • . . . the awarding of certificates at Goviya Pahana.
  • Tuesday 8 November
  • Five new coaches started training at NCC:
    • 2 for Mullaitivu District
    • 1 for Jafna District          and
    • 2 for Trincomalee District
  • Sunday 13 November
  • November and the North-East monsoon had started to set in.
  • Petronella went to Trincomalee
  • Monday 14 November
  • Another meeting with the Secretary of Ministry of Education and Sport, Mr Thiagalinkam
  • Tuesday 15 November
  • Opening of Salappayaru pool, some 30 km North of Trincomalee
  • Petronella then made sure she was back in Colombo well before the Presidential elections which were in 2 days time.
  • Tuesday 22 November
  • A meeting in Colombo with members of Community Focused Disaster Response (CFDR) who are working in Komari in Ampara District. http://www.cfdrhome.com
  • End of November
  • The North East Monsoon was joined by a cyclone that hit Trincomalee at the end of the month. One of the 2 pools at Dutch Bay was destroyed. The loss of a pool was an unexpected financial blow to SwimLanka, especially as Trincomalee District in underfunded and there is still much work to be done there. Any financial offers will be gratefully received.
